If you haven’t heard of Northern Kings before they’re a symphonic metal supergroup who cover popular songs from Tina Turner to Radiohead. Any of the CDs by these guys are worth the $. The Northern Kings CD is fresh edgy crunchy flashback of covers. They are well arranged and bring out the best in the original composition. Rebel Yell has never been so sexy!

I really liked ‘Dont Bring Me Down’ - its the bit thats ‘no no no no no no no oh yeah!’ totally different to the original. Mind you I think ‘Cant Get You Out Of My Head’ on Kings 2 will be really interesting.

i’m absolutely fanatical about this band. THey’ve utilzed the voices of all four singers to perfection, and the idea of doing covers? FUN!
