Slash is considered to be one of the most talented guitarists in the world. From ‘Guns n Roses’ to ‘Velvet Revolver’, he has blown our minds with amazing songs like: Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise city and Slither. But now from the pits of hell and with a host of famous musicians coming out of his ass we get Slash’s awesome new gut busting Solo project called….. ‘SLASH’. This self titled stormer of an album features performances from Ozzy Osbourne to Fergie, Kid Rock to Iggy Pop and M. Shadows to Lemmy.

The album covers nearly every sub genre of rock you could wish for. You can see all the different types. There are Doom metal, Pop and Hair metal elements all throughout the songs. With 14 face melting songs which will enlighten you for 58 minutes of your life, it is clear why Slash has made no boundaries on this album. Some of the most notable songs on the album include: Crucify the Dead, Beautiful Dangerous, Doctor Alibi and By the sword. To be honest the albums not all that heavy. In most places Slash and his session musicians use acoustic guitars or add affects to give the music some colour (As Hendrix would say).

Slash’s self titled Solo album is definitely a must have for all guitarists, Slash and Rock fans. It’s not just music it’s art work and an inspiration to others. From as soon as you press play, till the minute you take the CD out, you feel like you’re in Slash’s presence and lauding over with his amazing musicianship. Wouldn’t it make the year if we saw Slash and friends over in the UK for a tour. With Slash confirmed for download festival, will he be able to bring his entire party list of friends with him and Blow a hole through Donnington Park with this five star album?
