Its been a while since our last show but we’re back with Episode 51.
This episode features Glasgow noise artist Black Sun who Gordy caught up with after their gig at New Elgin Hall. Black Sun released their last album in 2003 entitled Fleshmarket, a complex fusion of Noise, Doom and Progressive metal. The band itself consists of Russell McEwan, Kevin Hare, and Graeme Leggate.
Gordy also hosts this show which also features some of the freshest choice cuts of metal for your listening pleasure.

Its been a while since our last show but Ewan and Victoria are back co presenting with north east based gothic industrial musician Synoiz.
Synoiz released his first album Ambients in October 2009 and has followed that up with a recent single release entitled Ever Emptiness. Much of his inspiration comes from video game soundtracks and produces what can best be described as ‘horror soundscapes’.
We hope you enjoy this foray into co-presenting and it includes an interview with Synoiz where we talk about the pitfalls of being an independent artist and where the ideas for the Ambients album came from.

Its an American invasion on this month’s Ragnarok Radio with our interviews with Cauldron and Bonded By Blood.
Toronto’s NWOTM band Cauldron talk to Gordy in Glasgow about Chained To The Night, record collecting and playing at Germany’s Keep It True festival in 2007.
Bonded by Blood formed in 2005 hailing from the Californian Thrash Metal scene naming themselves after the 1985 Exodus album ‘Bonded by Blood’. Exiled to Earth is set to be the bands second full length album to be released this year on Earache Records.

C.J from Newcastle’s hard rocking punk act The Wildhearts talks to Andy in Glasgow. The interview was conducted while the band were on tour promoting their new album ‘¡Chutzpah!’. The tour featured a set list playing the album in its entirety along with an encore featuring older songs.
¡Chutzpah! is their eighth studio album released in August 2009, produced in Denmark by Jacob Hansen who has most famously worked with Volbeat. C.J talks about working with Jacob, their new ‘downtuned’ playing style and appearing at the Kerrang! awards.
Episode 47 is presented by Gordy and Richard on location in Glasgow.

In our readers poll Amon Amarth were our most requested metal band to be interviewed, so in Episode 46 we bring you our interview with Johan Soderberg.
We caught up with the Swedish Viking metallers in Newcastle on tour promoting their latest album ‘Twilight Of The Thunder God’ released in 2008. ‘Twilight’ is the seventh studio album and features a variety of guest musicians including L.G Petrov of Entombed, Roope Latvala of Children of Bodom and Perttu Kivilaakso of Finnish cello metal crossover band Apocalyptica.
Also in a slight change to our usual shows Richard and Ewan present this months podcast on location in Dundee.

Our interview with Mark Jansen from Dutch symphonic metallers Epica features as possibly our last interview of 2009!
Epica recently released their new album ‘Design Your Universe’ in October of this year. It includes a guest appearance from Sonata Arctica’s Tony Kakko and is the first album to feature their new guitarist Issac Delahaye.
Mark talks to Rich about what its like touring in the UK and how such complex musical compositions are created during Epica’s writing process.

The Haunted and recently reformed At The Gates guitarist Anders Björler talks to Gordy in Glasgow about his inspiration, favorite riffs and what its like being a semi professional musician.
Swedish thrash metallers The Haunted released their last album ‘Versus’ in September of 2008 and are about to visit the UK in support of Slayer. Our interview with Anders was conducted before The Haunted attended this years Bloodstock festival.

As well as Guilt Machine Arjen also talks about life after the Ayreon project and his future musical direction.
Accompanying this is Phil’s look at the progressive metal scene focusing on amongst others Mesuggah and Mastodon. A great starting guide for the uninitiated to prog metal!
