| Delve deeper and meet the Ragnarok Clan! |
Victoria
The leader of this rowdy rabble she generally bosses everyone around making sure that everything gets done from mixing the show to designing and managing the website. She originally got the idea for the show back in 2006 and started producing it solely as a monthly audio show. Her metal preferences include a little bit of everything but particularly thrash, black and death metal. Her favourite bands are Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir and Blind Guardian. |
Gordy
Presenter, writer and photographer his exceptional metal knowledge makes him a key member in keeping track of the news throughout the metal world. He was initially recruited back in 2006 as a presenter and his role on the team has developed as Ragnarok has grown. He likes all genres of metal although his favourite bands include Iced Earth, The Wildhearts and Celtic Frost. |
Ewan
Recruited in Summer 2007, though first heard on an earlier show screaming for his old band, Ewan made his first presenting appearance helping Vicky with the interviewing of Risen Prophecy. His knowledge within the niche segments of heavy metal culture injects some variety into the Ragnarok sound. Ewan doesn’t consider himself much of a presenter and instead prefers to organise and perform many of the shows interviews. He enjoys a wide range of music covering most genres from folk (grampa’s guitars!) to classic rock to extreme death metal. When it comes to metal he particularly enjoys gothic, doom, progressive and symphonic bands including Tristania, Dark Tranquillity, Nightwish and Ayreon. |
Richard
Another newcomer to Ragnarok is Richard making his first appearance in 2009. Rich is adept at making the tea, playing cricket and going to the shops in search of tartan paint. (As well as interviewing famous people) . He has two bands; a real life, soon-to-be-gigging band Arach and the newly formed studio project; Darker With The Day with fellow Ragnaroker Ewan. He is a talented guitarist and songwriter with a phobia of lyric writing, his knowledge of ‘hands on’ music composition and production gives him a unique view on all things metal. Richard likes a large range of metal but particularly power metal - with favourite bands including Firewind, Amon Amarth, Grand Magus, Iron Maiden and Kamelot |
Phil
Phil first appeared on Ragnarok in 2008, interviewing Sonata Arctica’s Tony Kakko, but has only recently begun contributing more regularly, having nothing better to do since graduating. He has been involved in music his entire life, having been classically trained in piano and violin from an early age; it wasn’t until around the age of 16 however that he quit playing in orchestras and started his first power metal band. He doesn’t restrict his listening to metal; he also has a passion for jazz piano and plays in an experimental ambient techno band called Fear Wasabi. His favourite bands include Gojira, Mastodon, Fu Manchu, Sonata Arctica and Iron Maiden. |
Andy

He has have experience as a live musician in the band Cyster Scalpel, as a promoter of local gigs and as a rock DJ, his most notable performance being at Download Festival 2009. Andy has a fairly extensive knowledge of rock and metal past and present, and also enjoys pieces from many other styles of music. He can appreciate just about any kind of music, even if it’s not his cup of tea. Some of his favourite bands include Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Nightwish and Megadeth. |
